After School Swimming
Our aim is to take these children and turn them into little fish. Our motto is to praise and encourage each child's achievement—no matter how big or small. We want to bring out the best in your child through giving them achievable tasks and working closely with their reflex development to gain the best from each individual child.
Our classes incorporate aquatic brain gym activities, working on core balance skills, as balance is the foundation of swimming. We pride ourselves in using a combination of the SHAW method (Alexander technique), Birthlight technique and STA (Swimming Teachers Association) method, a unique non-conventional approach to after-school swimming. We teach from within the water, using a hands-on approach. This shows the chidlren that water can be safe and fun and that we are there to help them. It also builds trust, which helps them to develop a relationship with the water, making learning to swim easy.
We use no buoyancy aids as we believe in allowing the children time to discover their own buoyancy—a vital ingredient of swimming.
Whether your child is a complete beginner, or could simply use some gentle direction to improve his or her confidence and skills, these classes will:

- Improve water confidence and enjoyment
