Kate started as a Smart Swim parent and then went on to do her training and join the Smart Swim Team. Kate has many years experience working with children and as a nurse, her medical knowledge is used in the pool during her Aquatherapy sessions, as well whilst teaching her baby and Toddler lessons, making her a great teacher.
Kate shares: "I became interested in the smart swim method of teaching when I brought my 3 year old along for lessons. It was clear that the subtle, gentle approach really addressed my child's individual needs to bring the best out in her and encourage her development at her own pace. A truly holistic way of teaching swimming. As a nurse and reflexologist I have a great interest in health and wellbeing and was intrigued by the obvious benefits to my child's ability to swim but also in confidence, concentration and general happiness in the water.
I was motivated to train in aquatherapy and then to learn to become a swimming teacher myself."
